Friday’s show at Jack Didley’s in Richland Washington will be a fundraiser supporting The Patient Advocacy Center (Pan) a charitable 501(c)(3) organization and proceeds from this show will benefit the Patient Advocacy Network “Viana Hagiu Legal Defense Fund”. The show will be recorded and streamed on the Ustream Atomic Comedy Network as a pay-per-view event. Viana Hagiu was a medical marijuana dispensary operator in LA’s San Fernando Valley when on August 25, 2009 the Devonshire Division of the Los Angeles Police Department raided the collective, CannaMed of Northridge. Having all applicable licenses and permits from LA and the State, Viana refuses to take a plea. As a result the LA County DA’s office has dragged this case out for nearly 4 years; all of which has taken a huge toll on Viana’s health, housing and livelihood. Read her story at:

A voice broke out over the intercom interrupting a pathetic rendition of Smells Like Teen Spirit,“Attention Walmartshoppers we are giving away free Knives.” “Follow the blinking red light located in the meat section for your free knives. The shoppers grazed their way towards the flashing red light like zombie cows searching for their next meal. “Free Knives?” a man cow exclaimed. “They will probably try to sell us something first.”
The brand ambassadress walked up to the display and quickly turned off the red blinking light. She stepped up to the podium and went through her pitch like a well trained corporate snake oil salesman. “Do you know what this is?” the ambassadress asked as she held up a small orange plastic cylinder shaped object. The girl guessed it was a french tickler but she was wrong. It’s a juicer! The ambassadress hollowed out an orange and then turned it upside down to show the amount of juice it made. She threw a few juicers out towards the audience. The crowd flailed their arms like seals grasping for fish. “I wonder how much their paying her to do this?” the girl thought. The ambassadress continued to slice and dice tomatoes, fruit, wood, steel, and the knife stayed sharp. The crowd gasped in amazement. This knife cancut through anything even meat and bones. “Even humans” said the man cow. The girl started to feel dizzy and began to embark on a rampage of her own inner dialogue…
“I bet that knife was made in some horrible factory overseas. Oh, but it will be perfect to make super thin slices of genetically modified salmon… What am I doing at Walmart??? Oh, I feel dizzy…I want to scream … I WANT TO SCREAM…DON’T YOU KNOW PEOPLE BURNED TO DEATH IN A WALMART FACTORY IN BANGLADESH! WALMART HAS BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS! I could just walk away… Just walk away. .. Just walk away…”
Attention Walmart Shoppers…Attention Walmart Shoppers… Attention Walmart Shoppers… We killed people in Bangladesh…Follow the red blinking light…Follow the red blinking light…Follow the red blinking light…and sleep…and then the girl just walked away. She wasn’t going to sell her soul for a fucking free knife.

About The Hollywood Hemptress – Tere Joyce
Tere Joyce is best known for her stand-up comedy, having first traveled throughout the United States and Canada performing in comedy clubs and pubs. She is a trained theatre geek since the age of nine. When asked to go out on date in high school her reply was, “I can’t…I have a rehearsal.” She was a Theater Arts major in college, and studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
In 2003 Tere Joyce was a top ten finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and also was a competing cast member on the third season. She has written three screenplays in films that were AVN Award nominated and directed by adult filmmaker Erica McLean.
Tere has done voiceover work and improvisational bits on radio shows such as the Jon Melichar Show and Power 106. She has appeared on several internet shows such as, The Free Speech Show,The Damage Report, Porn Star Pundits, and the award winning web series, “Good Job Thanks!”
In 2011, Joyce created and began to host Hollywood Hemptress Hour on New Dissident Radio, and has just recently launched a live streaming video version of the show on the Atomic Comedy Network online. Her next project is to launch her new show “Freedom of Joyce” on the Atomic Comedy Network! The show will explore “freedom” and what that means to us personally and collectively as a society.
Jay London is an American stand-up comic whose one-liner jokes made him a favorite on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Although he did not win in the two seasons he appeared in (Seasons 2 and 3, both in 2004), his humble personality and clean comedy made him a favorite among the show’s fans.
Jay London is known for his long curly hair and bib overalls. His signature line is “You might recognize me, I’m the fourth guy from the left on the evolutionary chart,” referring to his slouching posture and unkempt appearance. His comedy is usually self-deprecating and laden with quips such as “0 for 1″, “This is death!” and his trademark line, “It’s almost over.” During his run on Last Comic Standing, he made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
He has also done shows for cancer patients and small comedy clubs. In 2004, Jay made an appearance on the CBS sitcom King of Queens and on the game show Street Smarts; in 2005, he appeared on the TBS reality show Minding the Store and Bravo’s All-Star Reality Reunion.

Come see the show live on April 19. 2013 in Richland Washington!
I have produced 2 comedy shows with revenue share deals with Cherry Creek Radio that were very successful. The radio station in Wenatchee Washington often contacts me regarding bringing them another comedy show production.
I was referred to the station manager in Richland Washington by my rep in Wenatchee. I sent them my proposal for a revenue share partnership promoting the Ganja Palooza Comedy Show. The radio station was not sure about the audience demographics, asking if it would be just a bunch of “old hippies”. But after some investigation on their part, initially their response was very positive, so much that they suggested that I secure a larger venue, and said we are moving forward with a deal.
Because of the adult nature of nightclub stand-up, it was decided that they would only include the adult rock stations in the marketing campaign. I revisited the station web page to find a picture of one of the “Freak Brothers” smoking a marijuana cigarette prominently displayed. I thought to myself, great, this is going to be a good partnership. We set a date to telephone conference to finalize all of the details.
During the conference I was informed that the radio station was no longer interested in being part of the Ganja Palooza Event as a sponsor. They told me that upper management did not feel they wanted to be associated with the word “Ganja” or the culture it suggested. They never specified the culture to which they were referring. They did however suggest the event was promoting illegal activity in an area where recreational and medical marijuana use is legal.
When you have a caricature of a person smoking dope on the front page of your marketing, the whole thing smells of hypocrisy and bigotry or even racism. I am more inclined to suspect bigotry and racism. They really seemed to object to the word “ganja”. I feel the culture they were speaking of is the Jamaican culture. I feel they were saying that Cherry Creek radio does not want to be associated with brown people with dreads. They suggested the word ganja has some sort of criminal connotation or that it is code for criminal activities. They also alluded to the history of marijuana use illegally.
Even after I explained that the show does not promote anything illegal, but activism, freedom of choice and the democratic process, they still maintained their position. The thing that angered me the most is that they had no problem selling me an ad buy that would promote the show.
Marijuana is legal in Washington State. Marijuana has medicinal value. Marijuana saves lives and can cure cancer. Benefiting the community holds no interest for Cherry Creek Radio. Making money is what is most important to Cherry Creek Radio.
Oddly they promoted a “biker rally” recently as a cancer cure fundraiser. I would think the “biker culture” and its association to outlaw gangs, violence, prostitution, gun running and drug trafficking should have raised some red flags. I guess since bikers traditionally don’t have brown skin and dreads that culture is OK.
I was in a lucid state of dreaming and the words “unalienable rights” kept coming up. I repeated the words several times as I drifted between consciousness and sleep. Once fully awake I remembered the phrase but did not know the meaning so I googled it, and to my surprise I realized that the words “unalienable rights” is part of The Declaration of Independence.
We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by there creator with unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
That morning I started to text a friend about dreaming the words “unalienablerights” and the spell check on my blackberry highlighted the word “unalienable” as misspelled. The suggested correct spelling was “inalienable”. Curious, I looked up the definition of both phrases “unalienable rights” and “inalienable rights”.
I don’t know about you, but I’m wondering why blackberry spell check doesn’t recognize the word that defines our natural right not be surrendered or sold, but instead chooses a definition with the opposite meaning?
Later in the day, a friend of mine corrected my usage of the phrase “unalienable rights” referring to “inalienable” as being correct? Why the confusion between the two words? Is the word “unalienable” subtly being buried from our language on purpose?
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is our unalienable right. “Happiness” is also defined as “property”. According to the constitution we have a god-given right to “property” so long as the “property” does not harm the owner or the community at large.
Why are we being denied the right to grow hemp when it would provide paper, fiber, fuel, clothing, food and medicine? Why is cannabis prohibition not recognized as a denial of our “god-given” or “natural rights”? After all, The Declaration of Independence was written on hemp paper.
Marijuana prohibition is the maladjustment of our dwindling independence. Our fourth of July celebrations are no different then any of the other misguided holidays we celebrate. It is just another reason to be sold on hormone injected chickens and hamburgers for the barbeque, while we drink our Budweiser and watch fireworks made from China. It’s all very inalienable isn’t it?
Recorded excerpt from Hollywood Hemptress Hour on the topic, “Is marijuanaprohibition unconstitutional?” Host: Tere Joyce. Panel: Radical Russ Bellville, Robbie Gennet, Evan Dagger.
The California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative 2012 needs your help. An initiative must have 560 signatures from registered voters to make the ballot, and without paid signature gatherers this task is a nearly impossible to accomplish. Unfortunately, this year Mary Jane is lacking a sugar daddy albeit George Sorosto support her.
I received inspiration on how to raise the much needed money from a conversation I had with my friend Stephen over eggs, toast, and coffee. My pal’s former high school had been robbed and they no longer had a budget to throw a prom that year. So, Stephen did a post on facebook asking his friends to donate just $1.00 towards the cause. He exclaimed that almost everyone can give at least a buck to help out, and a lot of people will give more without even asking them for it. His ideology paid off and he raised $6,000 in six weeks with very little effort. A light bulb went off in my head as I took sip of coffee…Hmm…What would happen if we expanded this idea to raise money for the California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative 2012? Would giving a little bit equate to a whole lot? If a million people gave $4.20 each…Hmm…Do you see what I see?
What is the California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative 2012 really all about?
How will the Jack Herer Initiative effect marijuana laws and local legislature?
It allows the use of marijuana for adults 21 years and older, and regulates it like beer and wine.
Releases prisoners from jail who are doing time for marijuana related crimes.
Eliminates testing for cannabis metabolites for employment, and replaces it with a test for active THC.
It challenges the federal government’s constitutional ability to restrict farmers from growing industrial hemp when they allow it to be imported to the country.
Legalizes entire cannabis hemp plant and establishes a hemp industry outside of the marijuana industry in the state of California.
Taxes recreational use of marijuana to create a fund for the industrial hemp industry.
How does the Jack Herer initiative differ from some of the other marijuana petitions circulating in California?
The California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative encompasses legalization of the whole cannabis hemp plant. It challenges the federal government’s constitutional ability to restrict farmer’s from growing industrial hemp when they allow it to be imported to the country. The other initiatives only legislate at the state level. The DEA does not recognize state marijuana laws.
You can help feed a child for less than the price of a gallon of gas!
Hemp seed can be eaten raw, ground into meal, sprouted, made into hemp milk, prepared as a tea, and used for baking. The hemp seed provides all of the omega-6 fatty acids that your body needs to stay healthy. When we legalize industrial hemp there will be no need for the federal program to feed our children hamburgers with “pink slime” injected in it, or genetically modified soy milk by Monsanto. When we legalize hemp we will create clean green energy jobs, boost our economy, provide clothing, and feed our children with good nutrition. Even if you don’t live in the state of California, won’t you please make a donation of $4.20 to legalize industrial hemp again? If a million people donate just $4.20 we will have enough money to get the California Cannabis Hemp & Health Initiative 2012 on the ballot this year. Please send this post to your family and friends. Tweet, and post it on Facebook. Our future is your future. To make a donation visit www.cchhi2012.org.
